1. Who we are
Furviou (“we”, “us”) is a product studio operated by Shriyansh Lohia in Delhi, India. This policy explains how we handle personal information on https://www.furviou.com and in the studio operations behind it (enquiries, projects, partner accounts).
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@furviou.com. There is no separate data protection officer; the founder handles these requests.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers:
- The public website, contact and booking flows, and lead forms.
- Client project communication and files we store to deliver work.
- Referral partner accounts, short links, click counts, and commission records.
- Team member accounts the studio creates to run delivery.
It does not replace the privacy notices of Go or Velo. Those products collect their own account data on go.furviou.com and velo.furviou.com.
3. What we collect
You give us directly
- Name, email, phone, and the project message on a lead or contact form.
- Booking details when you schedule a call (name, email, and notes). Calendar scheduling is processed by Cal.com.
- Account details if you register as a client or referral partner (name, email, password hash; or Google account id if you use Google sign-in).
- Documents you or we upload to a project (briefs, assets, contracts).
- Payment details only as needed to invoice you. We do not store full card numbers on this site.
We generate or attach
- Referral short codes, click counts, and which partner (if any) referred a lead.
- Project status, timeline notes, assigned team member, and commission amounts when a referred project closes.
- Basic technical logs (IP address, browser, pages, approximate time) used to keep the site working and to debug errors.
We do not ask for government ID, health data, or payment card PAN as part of a website enquiry. Please do not put secrets in the public form that you would not want stored with a lead.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Reply to enquiries and run discovery calls.
- Scope, deliver, and support studio projects, including status updates and document handover.
- Create and secure client, partner, and team accounts (JWT sessions, password hashing, Google OAuth if you choose it).
- Send transactional email: query confirmation, login or welcome notes, referral-link notices, and commission notices. Email is sent via Amazon SES when configured.
- Attribute leads to partners, calculate commission (₹2,000 to ₹35,000 / about USD $24 to $420 per successful referral), and keep a ledger.
- Improve the site (broken pages, spam filtering) and meet legal or tax record-keeping duties in India.
We do not use your enquiry to build advertising audiences. We do not sell, rent, or trade mailing lists.
Legal bases we rely on in practice: your request (to respond to a form or booking), a contract or steps toward a contract (project work and partner payouts), legitimate interests in running a small studio securely, and Indian law including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where it applies.
6. Referral programme data
If you share a Furviou referral link, we store your partner account, the short code, click counts, and leads generated from that code.
If you arrive as a visitor through a referral link, we store the referral code with your enquiry so we can pay the partner if you become a client. That does not change the work we do for you or the price you are quoted unless a written offer says otherwise.
Commission, when earned, ranges from ₹2,000 (approximately USD $24) to ₹35,000 (approximately USD $420) per successful closed referral. USD amounts are indicative (about ₹83 per US dollar) and may differ on the payment date. How we decide qualification and payout is described in the Terms and Conditions — Referral programme.
8. How long we keep it
- Unconverted enquiries: usually up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised, unless we still need them for a dispute.
- Client project files and invoices: for the life of the engagement and then as long as Indian tax and bookkeeping rules require (typically several years).
- Partner accounts, referral stats, and commission ledger entries: for as long as the partnership is active and for the record period after payout.
- Auth logs and security events: a shorter operational window unless we are investigating abuse.
When you ask us to delete enquiry data, we will do so unless we must keep a subset for legal, security, or unpaid-invoice reasons.
9. Security and international transfers
We use industry-standard protections: HTTPS, hashed passwords, access tokens, and role-based access so a salesperson does not see everything an admin sees. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. Tell us at hello@furviou.com if you think an account was misused.
We serve clients in India and the United States. Data may be stored or processed on servers outside your country (for example, cloud hosting or email). By using the site or hiring us, you understand that transfer. We still apply this policy to that data.
10. Your rights
You can email us to:
- Get a copy of the enquiry or account data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate details.
- Ask us to delete data we no longer need.
- Withdraw consent for optional emails (transactional project email may still be necessary while a project is open).
- Close a partner or client account (subject to unpaid invoices or open commissions).
We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are in India, you may also have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India. If you booked through Cal.com, you can also use Cal.com’s own privacy tools for calendar data they hold.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If a parent believes a child submitted a form, email us and we will delete it.
11. Go, Velo, and subprocessors
Product-level personal data (end users of Go or Velo) is described on those products. Furviou as the studio may process a subset of that data only to operate and support the products.
Current categories of processors: website hosting, database hosting, email delivery (Amazon SES), scheduling (Cal.com), and optional object storage for files. We update this list when the stack materially changes.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post updates on this page and change the date at the top. Material changes (new sale of data, new advertising use — which we do not currently do) would be called out more clearly.
Related: Terms and Conditions, including project policies and the referral payout range of ₹2,000 to ₹35,000 (about USD $24 to $420).
